Sutter Health RN - Infection Preventionist (Solano) (Full Time-Days) in Vallejo, California
The Infection Preventionist RN has 24/7 responsibility for Sutter Solano Medical Center's Infection Prevention program providing expert consultation and support to patient care delivery and department operations with professional responsibility in the following functions: case finding, surveillance, reporting, data analysis and interpretation, inspection, control measures, education, consultation, evaluation, performance improvement and recommendations. The position assures compliance with Title 22and other regulations related to hospital operations along with standards developed by TJC, FDA, OSHPD and OSHA/Cal-OSHA.
The Infection Preventionist performs analysis of narrative and statistical data.
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Epidemiology, Nursing or related field is required.
Master's degree in Microbiology, Epidemiology, Nursing or related field is preferred.
Experience in Performance Improvement in an acute care hospital setting is required.
Prior experience in analysis of clinical date is required.
Experience in using LEAN principles is preferred.
3 - 5 years of experience in an Infection Control position is preferred.
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects/duties is required.
Working in teams of diverse healthcare is required.
Licensures and Certifications:
Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure is required.
Certified in Infection Control - CIC is required within 1.5 years of hire.
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality RN - CN-PH QUAL is preferred.
